I was one of the storyboard leads/supervisors for Hit Monkey Season 2. I worked on episodes 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8. As well I was able to help out on episode 7.
I LOVE this show. Being a lead I gave notes, draw overs, revisions and touched every shot of these episodes. So while I did work on every scene, below are some scenes I personally thumbnailed.
The ending of episode 1! Juicy emotional turmoil as Bryce introduces the audience to his daughter, Iris. As well as introducing an ominous villain.
Episode 2 montage! The context is that Monkey, Bryce, and Haruka are trying to sneak into a fancy dinner.
The above clip was a labor of love, several artists cleaned it up for me while I was working on other episodes. It's a small scene but one of my favorites.
This is truly my favorite thing I boarded from episode 4. Maybe even the whole show. What's better than a sad montage?
A few changes were made to the final board- The opening was turned into a pov shot inside the liquor cabinet, and the horses were turned into dogs. I would show you that file but sadly I have no idea where it is. It's gone. Forever.
There's a side plot in this season where the Devil is fighting a war in hell. Here he is talking with one of his generals. It's fun
Monkey and company celebrate a huge victory! Haruka and Bryce discuss possible betrayal and reveal a plot twist about the team!
Bryce and Haruka steal a sword. There could be deadly repercussions here.
The context- Earlier in the season Haruka uses/gets possessed by the sword.
I jumped off of episode 6 and 8 very briefly to help out with 7! I did this scene, during the time of boarding the script was being rewritten so there's a chance this scene isn't even in the episode! Either way, I LIKE IT!
